How you feel about things, in four な-adjectives. 好き (suki, like) and its opposite 嫌い (kirai, dislike) are the first pair every learner needs; 静か (shizuka, quiet) and 楽しい (tanoshii, fun) set the scene.

Reading notes

好 is す.き (and コウ in 好物); 嫌 is きら.い (ケン in 嫌悪). 静 is しず.か (セイ in 静止). 楽 is a two-faced kanji: たの.しい (fun) here, but ラク (comfort) and even ガク (music, 音楽) elsewhere.
