About this set

Five everyday nouns for the places and things around you. 窓 (mado, window) and 屋 — the 'shop/roof' kanji inside 部屋 (heya, room) and 魚屋 (fish shop) — keep you at home, while 銀 spells 銀行 (ginkō, bank) and 晩 gives you 晩ご飯 (bangohan, dinner). 魚 (sakana, fish) is what's for dinner.

Reading notes

屋 is や as a shop/room suffix (本屋, 魚屋); 部屋 (heya) is irregular. 魚 is さかな alone, ギョ in 金魚 (goldfish). 銀 (ギン, silver) + 行 (コウ here, not い.く) = bank. 晩 (バン, evening) also gives 今晩 (konban, tonight).
